Being an aged geek, I tend to move slowly towards any prone position
after(?) work rather than go out somewhere. Unfortunately, a 50 year old
belly tends to wipe away much of the landscape in that position (not to
mention the TV.) It is great though for balancing a beer while fishing
out the last cashew and using the remote at the same time.

I like to go home and rest. I've been writing validation testing
documentation all day today and I can't conceive of why I would go
anywhere but home and a nice comfy chair and a glass or two of wine.
(After the NT user's group of course. Once a geek, always a geek...)

In younger years BN*, I would go out all the time. I preferred places
with a mixed crowd (geeks & non-geeks) rather than only geeks. It is
good perspective to discuss things with house painters and carpenters
who have exhausting, physical jobs when you sit in an air conditioned
office all day and get paid time off.
The Player's Retreat was central to my life around that time. The
Profile was another good bar/grill where the food was good.
Another place that I liked to go was the Crowley's on Medlin Drive in
Raleigh. They were one of the few places at that time who served Guiness
Stout on draught (common now.) About midnight, I would head to
Char-Grill for some hotdogs.

After thinking about it, it is amazing that I have always been prompt
for work and lucid. I probably sound like your parents and am probably
their age. Life gets simpler all the time. Enjoy yourself, you too will
be old sometime soon.

What was the question again? Roger (in RTP)
