A certain journalist friend is doing a piece for a certain newspaper
on
the "tech scene". This good person could use a little help from our
distinguished panel (the 280-odd folks on this list).
So, what exactly are the hot techie hangouts lately?
In terms of lunch places, I can think of Sarah's Empanadas and Fortune
Garden and the other places in that strip near 54/55. And the Flying
Saucer sure was a great gathering place for INW last Thursday. But I'm
a little brain-dead this afternoon for thinking of other geek hot
spots. What am I forgetting?
I know a number of freaky folks gather regularly for coffee at
Driade.... Hmmn....

P.S. Don't worry about the journalist. You won't be quoted without
permission. This is for the benefit of folks new to this list and/or
this area, too. We've got a growing number of new people here lately!
