When I first starting coming to Raleigh, I used to drive from Syracuse
down I-81 to I-95 and back up I-40 to Gorman St. At the time, the
section of 440 I had to travel was variously labeled as I-40, I-440,
US-1, US-64, and one more that I can't remember... Heh. It didn't take
me long to figure out that I'd be better off getting off I-95 in
Virginia and just taking US-1 all the way in :) I saved an hour and a
half that way, out of what was a twelve hour trip.

Yes, Raleigh is the capital - we like it here :)
