This reminds me of a time back in the mid 70s when I was sitting at the
bar at Darrell's on Hillsborough St. An Indian fellow was trying to
order something without meat and they wouldn't listen to him. He even
tried to order a ham & cheese sandwich without the ham and they wouldn't
do it! We tried to explain to him that it just took up space for more
beer, but he was hungry.
