This is the acre or so that I planted early last spring to oats/winter
peas, plowed that down and planted to sorghum-sudan/cowpeas in the
summer. Mowed that off a couple of times and then plowed all that
debris in. Planted to rye and crimson clover last fall, added some
orchard grass, rye grass, blue grass, clover and lezpedeza seed in
February.
It's been a lot of work, but it should provide good permanent pasture
for years to come and the soil sure got a big boost of organic matter
last year!
