I've ate some and use the feet, necks, heads and some times legs for
dog food. I stopped mine from breeding this year, so they are all at
least 1/12 years old, some older. They are tough, but good for stew.
I'm just sick of eating them.

I'm overpopulated with guineas. Until that livestock guard dog came
here, the predators were eating them like crazy. Now I hardly lose
any. I need to get down from about 40 to 12 or so. Since they sleep in
the trees, the only way to get them is to shoot them. Problem is the
others scatter when I do, so I can only get a few at a time. Did 8 in
early Dec.

There are a few people around here that want some, so I figure it's a
good will gesture. They'll pay me back with help or garden stuff come
summer.

Guineas are great for ticks, but I don't like them much otherwise.
They are mean to the hens, don't let them eat. Poor mothers and ugly.
But great tick eaters.

That gardening with guineas thing, I just don't get. They raid the
garden, eat tomatoes, cuckes, just about anything they can get at. But
they have got ticks under control in the pasture and yard.
