As I was reading these pages on sorghum, I thought some of you might be interested as well since this was a recent list topic. The first link talks about making syrup, and gives a bit of history. Don, this page is probably not new to you, but I thought of you as I saw all the old mills.

The following link talks about grain sorghum-it appears to be more drought tolerant than corn.

This is what I have grown in the past next to the chicken moat. When the seedheads are almost mature, I just bend the cane over the fence so the chickens can jump at the seeds. This is a very pretty plant as well.
