Lynn, I am like your parents. I paid off my house in under seven years.
Though My vehicles were all bought new, one is a 1984, one is 1995, one is 6
months old (all are paid for).
But, most young people have to borrow to even buy a used car; and lets face
the facts, young people want a nice looking car, and spend too much for
perceived appearances. I am not that way, but to a certain extent, I was a a
young man. I wasn't ever really a car person, so my extravagances were much
less expensive.
I can't argue with you because I essentially agree with you, but that is not
the way our society has taught young people to behave. If you still have
children at home, I hope you can instill qualities in them that most young
people are no longer taught. ....bobford
