It was a banner news day, wasn't it?
Army on the home turf..(oohrah run!)
FBI to investigate Fannie, Freddie, et.al, 26 companies in all under the
fraud gun....and of course they will find at least 15 crooks per company
that will need to be tried-more taxpayer money....(they out to skip the
bailout and just prosecute them instead)
50+ oil wells in the Gulf down from Ike-still no gas in Atlanta (4 out
of 5 stations closed, but be patient)
Finland makes the news, and it ain't good. (there are crazies everywhere)
Polar Bears are eating each other.. (and they forgot to add breeding
with non-polar bears)
Our-man-de-jihad stands before the UN, speaks, and comes out with more
positive press than Bush, Obama, and McCain put together. (?!?!?!)
Biden is in hot water about his earmarks, $342 million worth and he
voted Yes on the B2N, twice.  Obama is in the same boat. ( double wow)
PETA wants breast milk ice cream (I won't even go there)

It is a crazy, crazy world...

Is there anybody on the planet who thinks John McCain has a hope in hell
against Barack Obama this Friday in the debates??  I heard the O-man
has been practicing for weeks, and he's not the one who needs the practice!
He is such a good speaker, there's no way he'll lose.
Will Americans look beyond the polish and the rehearsed answers?
Who will stutter more?  Will Ron Paul crash the debates? (I think he
should!)
Will any new ideas actually be revealed, or will it just be more stone
throwing?
Which debate will be more interesting, the presidential candidates or
the vp candidates?
I don't know the answers to the questions, but I'm willing to place a
few bets.
1. Obama will blow McCain out of the water.
2. Palin will blow Biden out of the water. (but it will be closer than
the previous debate)
3. Read my lips, no new ideas, only new rhetoric
4. The neck and neck race will widen...the Dems will pull ahead in the week
after the debate, but then the GOP will catch up after the VP debates.  When
all is said and done, it will still be neck and neck.

Whaddayathink?

Akka B, wondering if I could get an earmark for a bridge over my dry creek.
Well, it's almost a Bridge to Nowhere...  :)

Solar Panels Are Vanishing, Only to Reappear on the Internet

"Just ask Glenda Hoffman, whose fury has not abated since 16 solar panels
vanished from her roof in this sun-baked town in three separate burglaries in
May, sometimes as she slept. She is ready if the criminals turn up again.
“I have a shotgun right next to the bed and a .22 under my pillow,” Ms.
Hoffman said. " ..................
