As to where we are going to store it, that's the rub.
1. Stacked on pallets and topped with a tarp or used tin roofing. Need a tarp? http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/retail_stores.taf#GA , HF tarps won't last forever but they are not spendy. Know someone who runs a mill and has bark slabs?
2. Poles in the ground, saplings for rafters & such, get some cheap tarps from HF for a roof cover.
3. Stack the firewood in a rectangle like it was the walls of an outbuilding, leave a door way. Use saplings or boards across the top and a tarp over that, let the tarp hang over the door way. Not only do you get the firewood stacked but you have a building that looks like a big wood pile <g>.
