I really liked the tone of the ad, it was one of those "Yes I know you don't want a gas guzzling truck but if you if use one for your work now is the time, 50% off the MSRP". If you want a $30k or $40k truck for half price now is the time, $15k is a LOT of money but a lot less than it was last week. FWIW I heard a radio ad today (different place) and this dealer was only offering 40% off.
If you want a new truck and can justify it (gas was $4.45 yesterday in coastal N CA and $4.05 today in Cotati) now might be the time..
On a side note the kids (16 & 17 & spouse) were bitching about making the 12 hr trip in the Honda Civic (37+mpg this trip at 70+mph) rather than the VW bus (21 mpg at 70+mph).
I was wondering how long I can continue to make these trips. It would have been $323 in the bus vs $183 in the Honda. For a down and back family thing there is doubt what was a better idea.
Change is never easy, this change from cheap energy is not going to be fun and suspect the driving part will least painful part.

Hmmm, wonder if he'll throw in the cheap gas that Chrysler is advertising.
Now there'd be a deal!
