I'm sending this on until Vickie can figure out why
she can't post directly.

I am the owner of said barn that Van Dell has written
about. I will try to post some pictures of the barn
as it is now to the group home (after I figure out how
to do so) for all to see. I need to find out if there
is any grant money or such to help us restore the
barn.

The house that goes along with the barn has the tall
10 foot ceilings, 85X36 inch tall doors, 43X70" wood
framed windows on all sides of the house. There are
12 windows upstairs & 9 downstairs. The baseboards are
6" tall. The dining room, that we have taken over as
the master bedroom because my arthritis will not allow
me to climb the stairs very often, has the pocket
doors & a glass front built in cupboard. The doors
actually still work, when we get rid of the yucky
carpet that is in there.

We have one shed that I believe was possibly a garage
that we divided down the middle with chicken wire to
house hens on one side & rabbit cages on the other.
Above these animals there is chicken wire that has a
bunch of straw to keep the heat in. That building has
6 windows, 3 on each side, that we boarded up for
winter & didn't have solid frozen water bottles this
last winter. With them opened for the summer months it
is nice & breezy in there.

There is also a windmill here that is supposed to run
a pump to the hydrant beside it but I think lightening
struck the power box or something. We will have to
check into getting it working again as we have Pygmy,
Kinder, Boer Goats, Potbellied pigs, Chinese Geese, an
African Goose plus all the rabbits & chickens to keep
watered.

Just a bit of introduction. Our last name is the same
as Van Dell's but we are of no relation but do
consider him a friend.

Vickie & Beryl Jordan of Jordan's Acres in Holliday,
MO. When we were moving I told my parents that we
were moving into our holiday house.
