I've been concerned by the extreme enthusiasm some friends and acquaintances express for Barak Obama. Certainly he is an immensely talented and inspirational orator, but many seem blinded by a (perhaps understandable) kind of desperate hope for 'change' and 'something different.' Where is the healthy skepticism for which Americans were once, long ago known? Perhaps Obama is the best of available choices now, but his voting record shows something much less than a 'different' focus.

Yes, the above linked op-ed comes from a member of the Nader campaign, but the facts of Obama's legislative decisions remain.
