Better answer- lots of small local systems, increased efficiency (like we
have ANY efficiency now), establishing food sources (agriculture) nearby all urban centers, sufficient to feed them w/o depending on interstate trucking for profit (only) and long distance AC lines.
Ted, you are preaching to the choir.
Change in embedded systems will occur only when price pain reaches critical mass. There is no political gain to be realized by asking taxpayers to plan for the future by making sensible plans and implementing them. A sustainable energy plan would upset current lifestyles.
