Hey all,
I decided to get an 85 F150 that is in decent shape and am outfitting it to "retire" on the farm. I put on some decent all terrain tires and did a major tune up last weekend. Have some body repair projects and minor mechanical to do. I am pretty pleased with it. It is 2WD though and I remember how I got stuck in some mud last fall and thought a winch might be a good idea.
Anyone use one? Any thoughts?
Get a 4 wheel drive tractor.
Sometime back tvo wrote a piece on aftermarket limited slip differentials for trucks...I went to one of the links and was impressed by what they were selling. But I can't find the link or the message.
A limited slip would help the 2wd truck...

Homestead advice-
Buy a house. If you have a house, buy land. Pay for the land with city jobs, prepare your family for a rural lifestyle, accumulate tools and skills. When the land is free of debt sell the city house and go make a good life.
