Yes, but look what happened to the Soviet Union. The race to arms was the
bulk contributing factor in its demise, but what kicked out critical can of
tomatoes in the pyramid was the fore-runner of the internet. The Soviet
Union was
able to effectively conrol what information its citizens had access to ....
until computer bulletin boards appeared and the propaganda could not
withstand
the reality of the rest of the world. The internet is too big, to flexible,
and too much of moving target. No government will ever be able to
effectively
control it.
