When the Cubans fled Castro they brought a few of their most valued, compact and valued possessions with them---among them a a means of preparing food by stacking three pots vertically on top of a small pressurized kerosene lamp/stove. The "Rapid Start " model had a built-in flint spark-igniter. If you opened the fuel-flow valve and allowed kerosene to dribble into a a small heater pan, pushed on the igniter, the pan would ignite and warm the fuel---pressurizing the kerosene to the point where the kerosene mantle would glow.
Mine was an "Aida". There were numerous trade names---Petromax the most common. They were manufactured by the millions, still are in China today Mine cost me fifty dollars, including a shockproof case with wire handle. A rare bargain.
