Not much point in yelling "watch it" to
somebody with one foot off the cliff and
already overbalanced, is there ....

While my sympathy is with those affected the most,
this is not news to millions of people "in the same boat"
(which is sinking) but coming at the same time as the
TransTexasCorridor monumental waste of money/land
it's Strike Two against anything about Texas - Strike One
is in the Wh___ House and Texans, along with a lot of
others, either put it or helped by default to put it there ...

This is what I have read for six months and with Bush's re-election it
has intensified. Last winter I read Financial Reckoning Day by Bonner
and Wiggins, they suggested the U.S. economy is paralleling Japan's
economy with a ten+ year delay. How bad does it have to get before we
have a depression? Please excuse my rusty economics (intend to brush up
over winter), when do we go from recession to depression? It looks like
mitigating factors are against us for a positive outcome, unless we have
drastic changes for the better. We're more technologically advanced and
have a larger population now than during the depression of the 30's.
Would a depression occurring in our current time have a worse impact?
Perhaps the silver lining would be that it could be good for us as a
country in the long run.
