Raise a glass ...

A Post-Election Toast

The election is over,
The results are known.
The will of the people
Has been clearly shown.

So let's all get together
And let bitterness pass;
I'll hug your elephant,
And you kiss my ass.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president
or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is
not only unpatriotic and servile, it is morally treasonable
to the American public."
--Theodore Roosevelt, 1918

I remember seeing a Hobbit-house built like this about
40 years ago - couldn't have been using the same
theory, could it ?? And Tvo ? following various links
here just keeps getting better and better ... Thanks !
(even though in my case it's more entertainment
than anything else, it has provided my getting-stale
brain with some very exciting activity along the
construction line) ... I had been meaning to Google
for some East European/Russian/Asian fireplace/stove/
oven/chimney/"sleeping shelf" combinations - this site
reminded me I haven't done it yet .... I remember from
60 years back hearing my Ma tell stories about how
"they" built houses back in the "old country" (wattle
and daub, I guess is the English term) and then
about 55 to 50 years back reading about "Topsy",
then seeing the movie 40?30? years back "The Inn of
the Sixth Happiness" with Ingrid Bergman, and every
time something else distracted me from researching
back then when it was *really* difficult to get the
research materials/data - Thanks to Mr Gates (a
PC in every home) and others like him, I can now sit
comfortably at home and roam to my heart's
(and mind's) content ...

Drew, you are playing into the word games. Pro-choice. Not all folks who
think women should be in charge of their bodies are by default pro-abortion.
Lots of them don't approve of abortion but don't feel that anyone else has
the right to make that decision for someone else. They would no more have
an abortion than they would sprout wings and fly.

Also, you are looking at the "get out of our bedrooms and wombs" from the
wrong angle. Women who are pro-life are just as likely to want government
out of their bedrooms and wombs. They think Roe v Wade is "government"
intrusion into their bedrooms and wombs.

Where the rub comes is from the folks who want "their" bible in everyone's
bedroom and womb.

Subtle difference but a difference just the same and what is driving the
division and word games.

Lynda
