Two topics in this post. First is GWA meeting, second is regarding Plant A
Row for the Hungry and and opportunity for exposure in a spring flower show.

As Ron suggested, I will post my comments on the GWA meeting on the Garden
Writers List. If you are not on that list, and would like a copy of the
message, please post to me at melaniev@optonline.net and I will forward one
to you.

One thing I heard from more than a few people is that they are afraid to
post on this group. Seems like every time somebody posts, others send
messages asking to be removed. Not a warm/fuzzy feeling.

Re PAR, April 15 - 17th, 2005 there will be a flower show at Hofstra
Arboretum on Long Island. In the past three years I have had two large
children's gardens exhibited there. They are asking me again to put an
exhibit together and before I reply I was wondering if anybody would like to
do a Plant A Row for the Hungry garden. I could work out the garden details
if somebody is able to handle paperwork and such on PAR and GWA. We can also
incorporate a book signing area. Hofstra will not pay the writers to set up
a table but if we incorporate it into a garden there would also be no charge
for a booth.

http://www.hofstra.edu/COM/Arbor/Arbor_flower_show.cfm has some preliminary
information on the flower show.

Any questions, please contact me.
