How many others here have been testing the new "Elle" rose? I don't know if you would call it a floribunda or a shrub rose. When it first bloomed, the initial blossoms didn't seem that promising. After most of a summer, I'm very impressed with the sheer health of the plant. Even right next to a rose with a serious amount of black spot, it's as clean as I've ever seen. The flowers are still a little imperfect, with odd petals sticking out, but most of the time the mass of blossoms takes your eye away from any individual imperfections. Right now it's in a spell between flushes of bloom, but the mass of buds coming looks like we'll get one more really good show before the end of the season.
