Hello:

Flowery is a good description.  Heaviest fragrance right at dusk and it loses the fragrance quickly thereafter.  As for the seeds it is very important to nick the seed prior to planting -- a good soak overnight after scarifying is helpful also.

How would you describe the fragrance of a moonflower?  Is it flowery, spicy,

Sweet and exotic were my first thoughts, similar to the ones that I would use for jasmine, as they both give that exotic feel when you catch the scent on a humid evening. Not sure if that is descriptive enough though. I remember that it travels a fair distance too.  Perhaps flowery would be the right word
They are really dynamic to grow (and easy),
Good luck,
