Is Mark using the two narratives in Mark 8.29-10.52 in order to bridge the
two myths of the Jesus people and the Christ cult?
The one narrative contains the three cycles of the passion culminating in
cross and servanthood, the second narrative addresses Jesus in terms of the
Israelite epic - Elijah and Moses.
