Joe, all that has been "demonstrated repeatedly" on this list is that YOU
BELIEVE Mark made extensive use of Hebrew Scriptures.

And speaking of controls, I would like to know what yours are in your
methodology?

Joel Marcus wrote an excellent book (all of his work is excellent!) entitled,
"The Way of the Lord" where he looks at Mark use of Hebrew Scripture. It
might be a good place to start.

A good "control" would be to start with what we ALL can acknowledge, and see
what patterns emerge. THEN we can work towards the less certain items.

Also "relativising" our own opinions a bit might also help. It¹s a mark of
intellectual clarity to be honest with ourselves and with others regarding
the degree of certainty any given theory possesses. Arguing as if there are
demonstrable or "given" results when there obviously is not, simply is not
helpful.

Change is inevitable; growth is optional.
