I've heard the gospel of Mark being referred to as "pearls on a string". =
Why is this? Who said it and when? And where?
<
I don't know who said this or when or where, but I've heard it too -- and
took it to refer to Mark's style of short little narrative episodes strung
together one after the other, especially introduced by "euthus" -- and
immediately they went here, and straightaway he did such-and-such.
I'll be interested to see what others know about this.
