ODBC was used to extract the data. On the old server, all I did was run
the install program that was provided by the 3rd party application.
Apparently this process created all the necessary ODBC libraries and
files. I did not have to do any special recompiling or configure. On
the new server which is currently our test environment, I get a generic
message given off from the application meaning that it cannot find the
SQL Server driver. We tried to manually install FreeTDS using the
"make" and "config" commands, but don't think it was working either. We
are missing the "libtdsodbc.so" file that my process is asking for
still. I believe my application process is using java and scripts.
Please bear with me. I am very new to all of this.

Thanks,
Betty

What do you use to extract the data: odbc or ct-lib? Did you recompile
the library?
Did you use the same option for "configure" as with the old computer?
What is the exact error message you received, if any?
Is test programs works OK for you? Is you client using PHP + Apache or
it's some C/C++ program?

Thank you.
