Hello,
We are using FreeTDS through pymssql Python extension.
We are really happy of the software chain.
Nevertheless, we face the following problem :
if, for a reason or another, the network connection to the database
server gets lost, the following queries do hang forever without complaining.
I have looked both at FreeTDS and pymssql code to find out if there was
any way to setup the chain so that we could be warned by FreeTDS that a
network error happened (instead of hanging).
However, I did not find anything (I got stuck in tds/net.c in
tds_goodread function).
Is there an obvious way in FreeTDS that I missed ? If not, are there any
plans to add this feature ? If not, where specifically should I look at
to help adding it ?
