Hi Martin!
What exactly happens when you try to execute autogen.sh with /bin/sh?
I do it all the time on NetBSD. It defintely doesn't *require* bash.
I wonder whether there's something nonstandard in the script (nothing
obvious to me) or if perhaps your /bin/sh falls short in some way?
I'd rather change the script so it works with anything claiming to be a
Bourne shell.
