yes, done and tested (to the best of my ability).
There is a ctlib/unittest for this functionality.
I haven't tested with DBD::Sybase, although I *think* I asked Michael
Peppler to do so if/when he had time.

Just to review TODO list

. ct_dynamic and friends needed for DBD::Sybase placeholder support

Done?? Someone did accurate testing ??

. support for named instances under mssql2k
. utility to get port
done ??
add documentation

I think to not code the "utility to get port" and remove this todo as
done.

. cancellation
. ctlib seems to hang reading row while in IDLE state
(tds_peek if not in pending state hang... update)

This is due to asyncronous cancel and the use of tds_peek.

. tdsdump_log is not reentrant, cancellation core if logging enabled
...
fixed ??

I think this is fixed...

. fix timeout problem reported in ML
. check dblib behavior

Mmm... I don't even remember the problem...

tdsping program for testing purposes

What should this program do exactly ??
