Hey Daniel,

Thanks for responding.

I am using the same TDS protocol on both servers - 7. I tried switching to
4.2 and 8 with no change.

I understand I can set ansi_nulls in SQL or on the server itself, but my
preference is consistent behaviour between the two machines.

Are you perhaps using a different TDS protocol version in your
freetds.conf file this time?

Try mssql_query('SET ANSI_NULLS ON', $conn);
