Hi,
The good news is you can substitute Freetds for the Sybase files. FreeTDS is
amongst other things an implementation of the Sybase client libraries and
their API's - db-library and ct-library.
We have the added bonus of being able to communicate with MS SQL server as
well as Sybase.
Once you have installed, configured and compiled freetds, you should be able
to use the resulting installation as if it were Sybase. If you have
instructions for the Sybase package for Python, then you can just "point"
this at the
freetds installation directory instead.
