I just noticed, from http://www.freetds.org/userguide/x631.htm, that "client
charset" is only applicable in TDS 7.0/8.0.
Is this why it has no effect? (remmeber i'm using v 4.2)
If it matters, I can switch from 4.2, just as long as i can still connect to
my sql 2000 server with DBD::Sybase 1.01 :)
