Coming back to real problem... odbc.ini configuration. Can you post your
odbc.ini dsn section?

I tried to create the whole scenario again but got lost. BUT, I have this question at this moment.

(1) What files do I need for perl (on Linux) to talk with MS SQL Server (on Win32 machine)?
(2) I am looking at a lot, and not sure which is needed and which is not. DBD::ODBC, DBD::Sybase, FreeTDS ODBC and iODBC?

Agree. ODBC design require much more implementation than other library.
If program do not require too much it work good. Star Office, for
instance, do not work.

Coming back to real problem... odbc.ini configuration. Can you post your
