Nice site, David. Too bad it doesn't carry FreeTDS, which would save our
friend a lot of trouble. I submitted a suggestion that they do.

I have to wonder at some people, though. All over their site, they refer to
the "public domain" software in their archive, and put "open source" in
quotes. (They also say they don't provide "commercial" software, mistaking
that for proprietary.) What would lead someone to roundly misuse these
terms, when their whole intention is to aid -- or is it merely reap? --
free software?

It's not like there's a subtle distinction. Printed works are either
copyrighted or are in the public domain. Virtually everything they offer
includes a copyright.

Withall, if they add FreeTDS, I'll link to it via HTTP, which *is* in the
public domain.
