Hi all,

I'm working on converting a dblibrary application from Sybase to SQL server.
This application has got everything - bcp api, threads, multiple
simultaneous connections, you name it we've got it.

The good news is that I'm using Freetds for this and its going very well so
far.

However, this application is very sensitive to the exact behaviours of the
Sybase dblib api, and some of the slight differences in our behaviours cause
big problems.

I found that our dbresults() processing was behaving slightly diffently from
Sybase's, and have written a patch to remedy this situation
I'm now pretty sure that our behavioiur is identical to Sybase db-library,
and I've tested it in numerous scenarios.

The patch is relatively small and affects dblib.c and sybdb.h
I've applied and tested my changes to the latest versions of these files,
and here is the result.

this tar file contains the before and after versions of both files. It
should be straightforward to apply the after versions of the files as is.

Sorry (once again) for my non-standard patches...
