Well, probably, unless there's a bug in the person running it.

You have
libtoolize (GNU libtool) 1.4a

I have 1.4.2 (last stable release). OK, tonight I'll install 1.4a and see
if that makes a difference. Gadzooks, this is a pain.

BTW, I saw "1.4.2" and thought that sounded newer than "1.4a". As their
very latest is 1.4d, I guess I was wrong about that. So I wonder, what's
the rule and where's it written? If you've got 1.4.2, what in the world is
wrong with calling the next one, oh, say, 1.4.3? Or even 1.4.2a? Or am I
supposed to intuit:

$ (echo 1.4.2; echo 1.4a) |sort
1.4.2
1.4a

to guess myself? Sure, it makes (some) sense in retrospect, but version
numbers are meant to communicate something to the rest of the world, and
ambiguity is no help. I can't be the first confused victim. </grumble>

I suppose I might as well experiment with 1.4d. You know what they say, "No
pain, no pain", right?
