I think I already fixed the bug you're seeing in revision 1.20 of mem.c on
9/12. Can you try using current source from CVS? If you really want to run
the release, you can try applying just this patch:

I tried everything, RPM in my redhat box, ports tree in freebsd and of
course from source for both boxes.

You say that you installed freeradius-0.7. Did you compile it from
source, or are you using binaries from somewhere?
