It does free the allocated memory within the structure. But if the name
offends your sense of aesthetics, I won't object if you change it. The
libtds ABI police may have a different opinion though :-)

Agree. Altough I don't like a "free" function that do not free the given
pointer...
If we don't require a "free" I rather call it "reset"...
