Title: Freetds help needed

I'm having problems and need help. Not to complicate matters, I installed freetds on a sun box and have a remote windoze SQL server.

Is there anyway to simply test connectivity from the comand prompt ?

I downloaded sqsh and all it does is ask me for a password and drop me to a prompt not an sql prompt.

My php script fails with the following : ( the code db account pass are all confirmed correct)

Warning: Sybase: Unable to connect in /usr/local/iplanet/servers/docs/1.php on line 50

Warning: mssql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a valid Sybase-Link resource in /usr/local/iplanet/servers/docs/1.php on line 51

Warning: mssql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid Sybase-Link resource in /usr/local/iplanet/servers/docs/1.php on line 53

Warning: mssql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid Sybase result resource in /usr/local/iplanet/servers/docs/1.php on line 57

Warning: mssql_free_result(): supplied argument is not a valid Sybase result resource in /usr/local/iplanet/servers/docs/1.php on line 62

Warning: mssql_close(): supplied argument is not a valid Sybase-Link resource in /usr/local/iplanet/servers/docs/1.php on line 64

DB connections from winbox work good also.
