It is the same as the nightly snapshot, excepting any changes checked in that day.
As to stability, it depends on what someone has checked in. But normally everyone posts to the list before committing any major changes that could affect stability.
Since cvs is standard on Mac OS X, just follow the instructions on the site for pulling from cvs. They should work exactly.
Is the version in cvs considered a stable or development version? Is
getting it from cvs the same as getting a nightly snapshot? What is the
easisest way to get everything via cvs in mac os x? (I am not in any
way familiar with using cvs).
