Thank you guys. Problem solved.
I got an email from Alexander Grebennikov, algr AT rocc.ru.

Here's what he suggested to sovle the problem.

After I changed the SRV entry in PWD file to match the one in
/usr/local/freetds/interace as Mr. Alexandar and Mr. James suggested, it
worked.
