i run the freetds snapshot from the freetds.com site (which is v0.5 i
think). the query we run is:
$r1=mssql_query("Select dbo.SUPPORTPROJECT.Proj_toel,
dbo.SUPPORTPROJECT.Proj_antwoord FROM dbo.SUPPORTPROJECT Where
(Proj_nr=$pn)");
the proj_toel and proj_antwoord fields are both textfields in the database
that can be several KB long. the same query run on an NT box (odbc_do(.))
gives the full result so i know the fields are filled. the version mssql
server is 6.5...
i suspect freetds to be the one failing in this. perhaps i should try to get
an odbc client running on the linuxbox but i'd rather use freetds so i'd
very much like to have this solved.

I wasn't able to reproduce this here under TDS4.2/MSSQL7.0. I'm not
sure we have a MSSQL6.5 machine around anymore.
Are you running a recent freetds version from the CVS repository?
If not, please try that first as it has numerous improvements over
the released version.
If you could post a simple test case of the SQL statements you run
which fail, I'd be glad to run it here.
