OPERATIONAL GAS TURBINE LABORATORY
Are you interested in offering your students hands-on experience
with the operation of a live gas turbine engine? If so, please
review the following. It describes a very unique opportunity.
The propulsion Mini-Lab, by TTL, is an extremely exciting teaching
device and is in operation at universities worldwide. Our clients
include Princeton University, Seoul National University, Ohio
State University and many others. Our purpose built SR-30 micro
turbojet engine is the primary
component of this ready to operate propulsion laboratory.
This self-contained portable miniature jet engine demonstrator
allows students to start and run an actual gas turbine engine
and is delivered ready to operate. 14 sensors are installed at
major engine stations, which allows for the collection of pressure,
temperature and flow data points. The collected data can be
used to generate compressor maps, calculate component and cycle
efficiencies, determine specific
fuel consumption values and complete a host of other related
experiments.
