Since you found the mailing list, I assume you also found the web site
for the freeTDS project (with the FAQ, documentation, download pointers
and list archives). Did neither of the two options described
there (C-based libraries or JDBC driver) meet your needs?
In case by some improbable chance you did find the mailing list but not
the web site, take a look at http://freetds.org.
