Hi Brian,
according to the MS SQL Server doc the default textsize is 4096 bytes and a
'SELECT @@TEXTSIZE' prooved that. Maybe I should give TDS 7.0 a try because
our MS SQL Server is a version 7.

Hmmm...you may need to issue a 'set textsize 4000' or some such prior to
issuing your query...I don't know the default textsize for MS SQL off the
top of my head.
