The SYBASE variable should be set the location that freetds was installed,
by default this is /usr/local/freetds, otherwise it is whereever you
specified if you changed it by setting --prefix.
If you are using apache (if this is a CGI script) then you may want to
edit httpd.conf and define it using the SetEnv directive.
