Hmmm...my personal preference is for tabs, I work on two different size
monitors and do a :set tabstop=x to change the indention depending on which
screen I'm looking at. Maybe there is a way we could allow a developer to
convert tabs to spaces (tr script for instance) and then change back before
putting back in CVS (see Mihai's message on that).
So when running ./configure you could specify an option and it would run
the tr script? You're right about the religious war...maybe we could find a
way to accomadate both styles. This would also allow people to switch
between 2,3 or 5 character indents.
