I have read Stanley K. Stowers twice. He includes the rhetorical scheme
along with history and culture. Stowers makes Romans a revelation to me, in
a manner of speaking. It has actually made me re-read the book of Romans
itself. What should I read next? Unless someone has a suggestion, I think
I'll read it again. I know that many on this list have read Stowers' book
on Romans, but in case someone has not, it is

Stowers, Stanley K. _A Rereading of Romans_. New Haven:Yale University
Press, 1994.
