I have read many times that Paul and Mark 'fell out' because Mark returned
to Jerusalem after Paul and his companions arrived in Pamphylia from
Cyprus (Acts 13:13). Generally, most people cite Acts 15:37-39 in support
of this position.

However, the way I read it is that Paul disagreed with Barnabus, not with
Mark. Also, I do not see *anything* that suggests that Paul was actually
displeased with Mark. Instead, as far as I can see the disagreement was
simply about Paul not wanting Mark this time because Mark had not been
with them previously (except in Cyprus)-- and not because Mark had
'failed' in some way. I also do not see Silas as being a 'replacement'
for Mark on this trip. Instead, at appears that Silas was with Paul to
deliver the report of the Jerusalem Council.

Would anyone care to comment?
