Vince,
I think you are correct to notice the important differences between
those Paul speaks of in ch. 1 and those he speaks of in ch. 3. I think they
are 2 distinct groups, one in the city in which Paul is imprisoned and one
that he thinks may threaten the Philippian church. Sorry to do it this way,
but..., my argument for this is in a chapter in my book, _Servants of Satan,
False Brothers, and Other Opponents of Paul_ (Sheffield, 1999). I would be
pleased to get your reactin to that work.
